Ricardo's Mexican Restaurant to close after decades in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Ricardo's Mexican Restaurant is planning on closing its doors due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The eatery has been a part of the Las Vegas restaurant landscape for over 40 years, but ownership said in an announcement they are a "Small business casualty of COVID-19."

Ricardo's will close when Nevada gets the green light to reopen, according to the statement released. Saying in part, "We can see no path forward for us with the guidelines that are to be put in place."

Until then, the restaurant will continue to operate for pick up and delivery services daily from 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Saturday's statement concluded with the following:

We want to thank you, Las Vegas, for allowing us to be part of your traditions, special occasions, or just Friday nights, for all these 40 years.

We loved making memories for and with you.

Ricardo's was established back in 1979 and is located at 4930 W. Flamingo Rd., at the corner of Decatur Boulevard.
