An adjudication center is normally responsible for helping to settle disputes between employees and employers and handling other problems.

DETR sent the following statement:

“The message on our webpage is specific to the PUA adjudication center, not the PUA call center. Callers with questions about filling for PUA should continue to contact the call center. We are currently working on training call center staff to adjudicate PUA claims, this functionality will be available beginning on June 1, 2020.”

Gig workers and people who are self-employed having been waiting months for assistance from the unemployment center.

A new system for them was launched last weekend. However, many people have reported problems with the new system.
