DUBAI (KTNV) — Emirates, the UAE-based airline, is testing passengers for COVID-19 on flights from Dubai as part of an effort to contain the spread of the virus.
The Dubai-based airline started testing passengers before flights by doing a blood test with results coming back within ten minutes.
The test doesn't diagnose COVID-19. Instead, it checks for antibodies - which can show if someone has been exposed to the virus.
Some experts believe other airlines may do the same soon.
