Which face masks are the most effective?

A recent study from Duke University used a laser beam to illuminate respiratory droplets through different types of masks as someone put their mouth up against it to speak.

Researchers say the results were surprising.

N-95 masks came out on top as the best defense, but cloth masks with two layers of cloth also ranked high.

Neck gaiters made of athletic material were ranked the worst.
