LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — As parents and students across the valley prepare for a virtual school year, the Clark County School District is making sure they have the equipment they need ahead of the first day of class.

The school district wants parents to register their students ahead of the first day of school, which is just under two weeks away.

As the district starts distributing Chromebooks, they need the updated contact and address information to make sure every student has what they need. This also allows teachers to start communication ahead of the first day of class.

For students who are homeless, in foster care, or without a permanent address, the school’s Title I Hope office can help with enrollment and additional equipment needs.

And for students in special education or IEP, case management can help sign up for specific programs.

If your WiFi is unreliable, you can make an appointment at your zoned school to use their office equipment. The district says the online registration is mobile friendly if using cell phone data is an option.

Also, if you’re not sure where your student is supposed to be enrolling, there’s a brand new tool on CCSD’s website.

An interactive mapshows every school in the district and where your residence is within the different zoning boundaries.
