LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The American Red Cross of Southern Nevada and the Shark Reef Aquarium teamed up to host a blood drive on Friday.
They asked the public to come down and donate. And in return, they would receive a free admission ticket to the aquarium.
American Red Cross says during the holiday's blood is needed more than ever and encouraged people to donate.
"As the flu season is upon us and in the middle of COVID-19, we think that there will be some challenges in maintaining that strong blood supply. So, absolutely we encourage blood donors of all blood types to come and give blood,” said Cynthia De La Torre, spokesperson for the American Red Cross.
The vouchers given out are good for participants until Dec. 30 for the exhibit.
