COVID-19 has hit small businesses hard with increased costs for safety and supplies, new rules for occupancy, and fewer customers shopping in stores. Many stores are struggling to survive.
According to a study done by American Express, 64% of business owners felt that this year, Small Business Saturday is more important than ever.
However, not everybody is in a position this year to shop for deals Thanksgiving weekend.
Here are 3 ways you can support local small businesses without spending a dime.
- Get social. Like and share their posts on Facebook and Instagram.
- Go to the source. We all love to order delivery straight from our smartphone, but those can actually charge fees. Try curbside pickup instead.
- Get active. Reach out to your local representatives and let them know how important COVID relief is to your favorite small business.
