New app hopes to save people money at grocery stores

Posted
and last updated

A new grocery store comparison app is helping people save money.

The app is called Basket and it compares prices based on sale fliers, website listings and member input.

Shoppers input their shopping list into the app and the app checks stores within a 5-mile radius for the best prices.

It will then display a map with the prices for the product at the various locations.

Of course, there are already similar grocery store apps like Ibotta or Ebates.

However, the creators of Basket are hoping that allowing shoppers to submit information, it will provide better information.
