A dog breeder who was the focus of a Contact 13 investigation recently learned his sentence.
George Papania was sentenced to five years probation and will no longer be allowed to own any animals.
Papania was convicted after it was found that he kept greyhounds in deplorable conditions, causing many of them to die. He then left the dead dogs in the same kennels with the living ones.
