LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Clark County students appear to have to cut their Spring Break a little short this year.
The Clark County School District Board of Trustees approved April 22 as the make-up day for a snow day from Feb. 22.

After a lengthy discussion Thursday night, the district decided on the day after Easter Sunday as the day.
School will be in session on April 22. @CCSD_Trustees voted tonight to make April 22 the make-up day for the day of instruction missed due to inclement weather last February.

The board was initially considering next Friday as the make-up day, but opponents said that date didn’t give parents and teachers enough time to change schedules.
Now, the 2019 Spring Break schedule has been modified to run from April 13 to April 21, per Thursday's decision.
The district also continues to work on finding a make-up day for support staff, so they don’t lose pay because of that earlier snow day.
