LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The Clark County School District said it will not have to make up for school days missed amid the current closures as State Superintendent of Public Instruction Jhone Ebert approved the district’s distance learning plan.

CCSD Superintendent Jesus Jara had told the school board earlier that he could not submit a distance learning plan due to not guaranteeing the district could deliver quality education to all of its students due to differing access to technology.

However, the district confirmed that the approved distance learning plan includes a massive expansion of its Chromebook program.

CCSD also said it submitted the learning plan Monday, the day after a deadline set by Ebert.
