LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Clark Country School District Board of Trustees candidate Katie Williams is receiving quite a bit of attention online for a tweet about eating at a Red Robin restaurant.
Williams responded to a tweet by U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez reminding her followers to be safe by making a joke about going to a crowded Red Robin restaurant to eat.
Williams also said that she did so because "this is America. And I'll do what I want."
Additionally, the school board candidate said that she wants royalties after Red Robin burgers began trending.
It's not the first time Williams has been in the headlines. She previously lost her Ms. Nevada 2019 title because of political comments on social media.
