The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) will open the northbound U.S. Highway 95 to eastbound 215 Beltway ramp this Friday, May 27, at 5 p.m. in northwest Las Vegas.
The ramp has been under construction as part of the new $47 million U.S. 95 / 215 Northern Beltway interchange, or “Centennial Bowl,” which broke ground in August in Las Vegas.
Currently, over 107,500 vehicles daily travel the ramps and freeways at U.S. 95 and the 215 Beltway. The project will build north and southbound U.S. 95 connection ramps to the east and westbound 215 Beltway, respectively, while also adding a southbound U.S. 95 collector distributor road.
Other upgrades consist of storm drainage, new signs, lighting, and landscaping. The project will finish in the summer of 2017. Motorists should use caution while travelling through the work zone, heed construction signage, and take alternate routes, if possible.
