LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Clark County School District trustee Danielle Ford made her first public appearance Monday after she used a racially-insensitive word at a meeting last week.
Ford joined neighbors at Windmill Library to discuss traffic safety at schools around the Las Vegas valley Monday evening.
She began the meeting by issuing an apology - adding she won't be stepping down but instead will be stepping up.
Ford previously left parents outraged during a meeting to address racial tensions at local schools after saying that racially-insensitive remark.
