LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — CCSD Superintendent Jesus Jara has scheduled a series of town hall meetings to discuss education in Clark County.

Safety inside Clark County schools are top priority for Jara.

Under a new plan he wants to see kids wear their ID's on lanyards. He's also planning to add security camera's, more police and new K-9 units.

Jara says while there were other solutions these things can be done right way within their safety budget.

The meetings will be held at various locations and at least one will be a virtual session.

The first meeting is being held Tuesday in Mesquite.
