Clark County School District Police said they arrested a 16-year-old male student on Wednesday evening for threatening to shoot up a school.
13 Action News confirmed the student attends Rancho High School, near Washington Avenue and Bruce Street.
Police said the student called CCSD administrative buildings on Wednesday and threatened to start a shooting at Rancho High School.
CCSD Police also said that the student did not have access to weapons. However, they emphasized that they take school shooting threats very seriously. The student has been charged with making a terroristic threat.
