The Clark County School District is working to help parents feel safe in the wake of the Florida shooting.
CCSD police Capt. Ken Young recorded a robocall that went out to all parents Thursday.
"Safety is a team effort. Parents and students are often our best source for reporting suspicious instances or inappropriate behavior," he said.
Young encouraged people to download the Safe Voice app, which allows for reporting of suspicious behavior.
In addition, each school has a crisis response plan in place to address all types of emergencies.
