Garage sales are a popular way to get rid of unwanted items and make a little cash.
However, in this case, it was all for nothing when a customer allegedly stole the proceeds from a local garage sale.
Thomas France says it happened when a woman asked if she could use his bathroom and he was distracted by his dogs.
He says that is when the woman and her husband took advantage of the moment and took $400.
He is now being forced to sell items he didn't want to because he needs the money to move into a new home.
The couple's escape was caught on a neighbor's security camera. France is hoping someone will recognize the couple from the surveillance video.
It happened near Spencer Street and Silverado Ranch Boulevard.
