A car drove through a gate and into an apartment on the east side of the valley Tuesday afternoon.
The crash occurred around 1:40 p.m. in the 4800 block of East Sahara Avenue, near Nellis Boulevard.
Police said the driver was transported to Sunrise Hospital but the injuries are non-life threatening.
According to Las Vegas police, the driver said she was cut off before losing control and barreling into the apartment.
"I'm in complete shock, I didn't expect to see a car into someone's apartment," described Daniel McGuire, a neighbor who heard the crash.
Luckily, the renter left the home minutes before the crash happened.
"I actually was asleep and I was suppose to go have lunch. So, I left to go have lunch and I came back to this," said Ikeya Blunt, who lives in the destroyed apartment.
Blunt, the mother of five kids, now has to look for a new place to live after building inspectors deemed her apartment, along with her neighbors, unlivable.
"It's bittersweet. Nobody is hurt so I can't be angry, but it's going to be a hell of a moving process to pick up and just go," Blunt said.
