LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — One year ago today a couple that survived the 1 October shooting together decided to give the day new meaning.
During last year's Sunrise Remembrance Ceremony, they got engaged.
Jino Amparan and Anissa Campos were supposed to get married on April 11 but had to postpone because of COVID-19. They got married a few days later in a friend's backyard.
"It was actually in the back of their home, they did like an all-inclusive," said Jino of the wedding location.

"The lady is a wedding planner, her husband a photographer, her father was the officiant," he added. "So it worked out great."
"I think the only thing we had to bring was the cake," he said questioningly while glancing over at his wife, who confirmed.
A big congratulations to the happy couple!
