With school set to resume on Aug. 13, the Clark County School District (CCSD) Transportation Department is urging parents to use online, self-serve options to obtain bus stop information for general education students who live two miles or more from their zoned schools.
The Transportation Department recently sent emails and texts with the self-serve link to parents and guardians of the approximately 101,000 CCSD students who are eligible for bus transportation during the 2018-19 school year. Parents can check transportation eligibility for their child(ren) and obtain bus stop information by visiting the transportation website at http://bit.ly/StuRoutes2 or by accessing the Parent Portal via Infinite Campus (campusportal.ccsd.net).
As explained by Transportation Director Shannon Evans, “Parents who choose to call our phone bank at 702-799-8111 will almost certainly face lengthy hold times, due to the large number of phone calls made to the Transportation Department before the start of each school year. The self-serve option is much quicker and easier for parents and students to access.”
Bus stop locations for students attending a Magnet School are at designated, centralized locations throughout the district. Magnet bus stop locations are limited to keep student ride times within 60 minutes in length.
CCSD is reminding families new to CCSD that they may begin their registration process via [register.ccsd.net]register.ccsd.net. Parents or guardians who already have an Infinite Campus account will see an announcement through the Parent Portal and a link connecting them to the 2018-19 registration page.
