LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Kamala Harris is America's first woman vice president and the first Black and Asian American in history.
For many, this was more than just a win for women, it signifies hope for women of color everywhere.
In Las Vegas, Kamala's victory inspired women to reach higher in their own careers.

Gigi Simmons, a homeless program coordinator in Las Vegas, said Kamala inspired her to apply for a promotion.
"She inspired me to just go for it," Simmons said.
Alannah Ariel, ambassador for the Latin Chamber of Commerce, said the Vice President inspired her to take a step further in her own career.
"I appreciate all of the glass ceilings that she has broken for us," Ariel said.
The gender barrier is now broken and the possibilities are endless for generations to come.
