BOULDER CITY (KTNV) — Forget Area 51, storm Area 52 instead! That's the message from one Boulder City business as hundreds prepare to attend alien-themed events this weekend.

If you're looking for an alien spacecraft, you don't have to drive all the way to Area 51 or Rachel to find it. The Flying Saucer, located off Nevada Way in Boulder City, has all the alien merchandise you could hope for.

Employees say they've seen an increase in curious customers after the viral Storm Area 51 Facebook event.

Sue Burger, who has worked for the owner of The Flying Saucer for 22 years, says the store has been around for about nine years.

"This is his favorite subject," Burger said. "The gentleman is blind, but aliens have always been a big thrill and attraction for him."

Alien jewelry, alien beer, alien beef jerky, Outer Space Vodka, and specially picked paranormal books.

There's a binder full of notes inside the store where visitors can write about their own extraterrestrial experiences. Employee and alien researcher Stacy Hollister says it's not something you should hope for.

"I did have an experience that was extremely frightening and I don't talk about it because it was so frightening," said Hollister.

All Area 51 merchandise aside, employees at The Flying Saucer all agree that storming a military base is a bad idea.

For some family friendly fun, the store is hosing a "Storm Area 52" event Friday and Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.

The event will have face painting, entertainment, and an alien costume contest. Registration for the costume contest is from 5 to 6:30 p.m. The event takes place outside the Flying Saucer on 441 Nevada Way. For more information, call (701) 293-1823.
