LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Democratic presidential hopeful Beto O’Rourke spoke to Las Vegas valley voters Saturday night at a house party in Summerlin.

“I wanna make sure that everyone can see a doctor, take their child to a therapist, afford their presumption medications, i want to make sure the democracy is open everyone,” says O’Rourke.

O’Rourke spoke on issues including healthcare, climate change, and reforming the criminal justice system.

He also spoke on his focus to increase the nation-wide minimum wage, to what he calls a “livable pay”.

“Allowing you to live with dignity, provide for your family, and live where you work, stay in the community where you were raised.”

O’Rourke now joins the list of other democratic presidential hopefuls speaking in the Las Vegas valley this year including Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren and Kamala Harris.

But supporters say they hope Las Vegas will vote O’Rourke.

“I’m hoping that with what Beto has to say and the power that is behind him and the energy that is behind him, he is the next,” says one supporter.

O'Rourke will be making 2 public appearances on Saturday. Click here for information.
