The Bellagio hotel-casino is celebrating 20 years on the Las Vegas Strip.
The Bellagio opened on Oct. 15, 1998 and cost $1.6 billion. It set the bar for any other hotel-casino that came after it.
Millions of people have stopped to watch the property's famous fountain show. In the early days, the Strip would often be closed in front of the hotel-casino because of crowds.
The conservatory inside of the hotel with its seasonal displays are also a big draw.
The hotel was built by Steve Wynn. It was later bought by MGM Resorts International.
