The power outage at Atlanta's Airport, Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport, impacted travelers here in Las Vegas.
Flights were either majorly delayed or canceled altogether.
Terria Nesmith and her two daughters arrived in Las Vegas Thursday for a girls trip.
They were supposed to leave Sunday afternoon to get back to Atlanta by midnight.
"And then my hudband calls and says there's a power outage you better check and see what's going on with your flight," said Nesmith.
Turns out, their flight was canceled.
Nesmith and her daughters tried to get ahold of Southwest all afternoon and night to rebook their flight. They waited on hold a dozen times, sometimes for 30 minutes, and then the line would disconnect.
As of Sunday night, they still have no flight booked back to Atlanta.
They are thankful they are able to stay in a hotel opposed to being stuck on a plane or in an airport like other passengers.
