Six people -- three adults and three children -- were transported to UMC Trauma early Saturday morning after a fire broke out at the Regency Place Apartments.

Las Vegas Fire Department firefighters responded to the call sometime around 4:57 a.m. at the apartments, located on the 2800 block of South Decatur Boulevard, near Sahara Avenue.

Fire crews had the blaze contained within ten minutes of arrival.

Officials believe the fire began in the living room/kitchen area of the apartment.

The family of six were taken to the hospital, suffering from minor, non-life threatening, smoke inhalation.

American Red Cross will be assisting the family.

The damage is estimated to be at around $75,000.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
