Las Vegas Fire & Rescue responded to a fire at an apartment complex on 4309 Stewart Avenue around 11:12 a.m. Monday.
Fire crews put out the flames 20 minutes later.
An investigation revealed that the fire started in the bedroom of a downstairs apartment. The flames extended through a window upstairs and onto the second floor, though damage was confined to the downstairs unit.

The exact cause of the fire is still under investigation. No injuries were reported. The American Red Cross is assisting one adult who was displaced by the flames.
