Defense attorneys are seeking a change of venue in a sex assault trial for a self-described pimp accused of killing three people in a shooting and fiery crash on the Las Vegas Strip.
Ammar Harris is due in court Monday for arguments on several pretrial issues in a felony robbery and sex assault case stemming from allegations that he raped a woman in 2010.
Harris has pleaded not guilty. He faces trial July 8.
His lawyers argue the 27-year-old Harris can't get a fair trial in Las Vegas because of pretrial publicity.
He faces a separate trial in September on murder, attempted murder and other charges in the Feb. 21 shooting that killed a man driving a Maserati and two people in a taxi that burst into flames.
