Closing arguments have been made and the jury is now deliberating the fate of Ammar Harris.
27-year-old Ammar Harris, who is accused of killing three people in February on the Las Vegas Strip, is on trial for sexual assault and robbery.
According to prosecutors, Harris forced a woman who was living with him into sexual acts and stole $600 from her in 2010.
Lawyers for Harris says that the sex was consensual.
Charges against Harris were originally dropped after the alleged victim refused to testify and moved to Texas. The case was resurrected when she returned to Las Vegas and testified before a grand jury in the Strip shooting case.
Harris could receive a lengthy sentence if he is convicted of the charges in this case. He is facing the death penalty for the shooting and resulting multi-vehicle crash that killed three people earlier this year.
The trial for the Strip shooting is scheduled to begin on Dec. 2.
Prosecutors are hoping to have a verdict in this trial by 5 p.m. today.
