Judge asked to have brother removed from accused Strip shooter's trial

Ammar Harris was back in court Friday for day two of his sexual assault and robbery trial.

Friday morning, the focus turned instead to one very important person observing the trial -- Tehran Boldon, the brother of the taxi driver that was killed in a fiery crash on the Las Vegas Strip earlier this year.

Ammar Harris is accused of shooting an aspiring rapper Kenneth Cherry Jr.

After Cherry was shot, he crashed into a taxi driven by Michael Boldon. The crash also killed Boldon's passenger.

That trial is scheduled to begin in December.

Harris' defense attorney told the judge this morning that Boldon had been talking about the Strip shooting outside the courtroom on the phone.

The attorney was concerned that a juror might overhear him and that would taint the sexual assault trial.

But, Boldon says that this case is too important and he wouldn't want to jeopardize anything.

Harris' attorneys asked the judge to put it on record that Boldon was talking about the shooting case. The judge did but no further action was taken.

The sexual assault trial will continue next week.
