It was an emotional gathering Thursday night at the spot where three people died after a shooting and fiery crash on the Las Vegas Strip.

The family of 62-year-old Michael Boldon once again saw cab drivers band together to remember one of their own.

Boldon and his passenger were killed after a car driven by Kenneth Cherry Jr. slammed into Boldon's taxi at the intersection of Las Vegas Boulevard and Flamingo Road after being allegedly shot at by Ammar Harris.

Boldon was employed by Desert Cab Company and drivers from Desert Cab and other cab companies around town participated in a procession on the Strip that started at Mandalay Bay and ended at the Stratosphere.

But while it was a loud and energetic performance, the family of Boldon still took time to say a prayer.

It was exactly one week ago that the fatal shooting and crash took place. Thursday was also the same day that Ammar Harris was finally arrested in California, which was big deal for the Boldon family and his co-workers.

The procession last night was not the end of it for many people. Desert Cab says they are trying to raise $10,000 to donate to the Boldon family to help them with any expenses.

And they are not the only ones in town trying to help the family. A local restaurant, Origin India, is holding a fundraiser March 15. For $5, patrons will receive a special to-go lunch. Proceeds will be donated to the family.
