UPDATED ON 5/6: Harris' arraignment has been rescheduled to 9 a.m. May 13 because of procedural issues. Harris did not appear in court.
LAS VEGAS (AP) -- A defendant is due for arraignment in Nevada state court in a shooting and fiery crash that killed three people on the Las Vegas Strip and felony sex assault charges in a 2010 rape case.
Self-described pimp Ammar Asim Faruq Harris goes before a judge Monday in Clark County District Court.
His court-appointed lawyers say he'll plead not guilty.
The 27-year-old Harris could face the death penalty in the Feb. 21 carnage on the Strip, although prosecutors haven't made that decision yet.
The shooting killed a man driving a Maserati sports car that then slammed into a taxi that burst into flames. Two people in the taxi were killed.
Harris was arrested in Los Angeles, and is now being held without bail at the Clark County jail.
