Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The man charged with a deadly shooting on the Las Vegas Strip was back in court Thursday for a sexual assault trial.
Ammar Harris heard from his accuser.
27-year-old Ammar Harris could spend the rest of his life behind bars for this case alone. It is unrelated to the Strip shooting case that he is facing the death penalty for.
This case deals with charges of sexual assault and robbery from an incident in 2010. The victim alleges Harris forced her into sexual acts. Harris maintains that the relationship was consensual.
Thursday, jurors heard testimony from Harris' roommate. The prosecution asked her if Harris had ever "turned her out."
The defense depicted the relationship between Harris and the roommate as consensual, calling upon a cellphone forensics expert to examine a text chain between the two parties where she sent Harris photos of herself.
Closing argument are scheduled to begin Friday.
