With an NHL team on the horizon, the president and CEO of the American Gaming Association wants to dismiss concerns that have kept teams away from Las Vegas for years.
"It's about time," Geoff Freeman said by phone.
Freeman said it's easy for athletes to gamble these days, no matter where they play.
He said legal, regulated gaming found in Nevada offers more transparency and illegal sports betting funnels money into other illegal activities.
