UPDATE: Most fires sparked by lightning contained in rural Clark County

Twelve new fires have started Tuesday evening in rural Clark County as a result of thunderstorms.

According to the U.S. Forest Service, 7 of the fires were in Lovell Canyon, where firefighters were close to containment on the Lovell Fire that has burned 445 acres since Sunday.

One fire was at La Madre Mountain while the other one was at Angel Peak, which are both near Mount Charleston. There were three others in the same area.

The U.S. Forest Service reported most fires have been contained.
