UPDATE: Power was restored to the majority of NV Energy customers around 6:31 p.m.

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) -- About 7,500 customers are without power in the east Las Vegas valley, according to NV Energy.
The outage was reported around 6 p.m. Saturday.
The company says the outage is due to an equipment failure. Power should be restored in some areas by 7:45 p.m. and fully restored by 8:45 p.m.
