A 66-year-old woman was seriously injured in a crash Sunday afternoon.
The crash occurred around 1:10 p.m. near West Lake Mead Boulevard and North Stella Lake Street, near Martin Luther King Boulevard. Police said a Nissan Sentra was turning left from a stop sign at Stella Lake Street onto Lake Mead Boulevard. A BMW 325, which was traveling east on Lake Mead, then hit the left side of the Nissan.
The driver of the Nissan, 66-year-old Josephine Crockett of Las Vegas, was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
The driver and passenger of the BMW, both of California, remained at the scene with minor injuries.
The intersection was closed for hours as police investigated.
