A Nevada inmate died Saturday morning at a Reno hospital.
The Nevada Department of Corrections reported that 63-year-old Sammy Earl Hamilton died at Renown Medical Center in Reno.
Prior to his admission to the hospital, Hamilton was housed at the Northern Nevada Correctional Center in Carson City.
Hamilton was committed from Washoe County on Feb. 18, 2011 and was serving 13 1/2 years to 36 years for burglary.
Washoe County Medical Examiner responded and an autopsy is being scheduled. Next of kin have been notified.
