LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Hundreds of people will rally for equal rights in Las Vegas on Saturday as part of the fourth annual Empowering Women's March.
Saturday's march has many locals joining potentially hundreds of thousands of others across the country in pushing politicians to act on a slate of issues.
Other vital states holding marches include Florida, Texas, and California - with a main event being held at the US capital building in Washington, D.C.
In Las Vegas, women and their allies will gather downtown and march to the Lloyd D. George US Courthouse to hear from speakers from groups such as the ACLU, Planned Parenthood, Gender Justice Nevada, and others.
Trevor Harder, with Equality Nevada, told 13 Action News that groups will talk about issues affecting the gender pay gap, reproductive rights, maternal death rates, marginalized communities, and the environment.
Saturday's Vegas Women's March was scheduled to take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
