ORIGINAL STORY

A 4-year-old girl is missing in North Las Vegas.

According to police, Kylee Boyd was last seen at about 6:40 p.m. Thursday in the area of Owens Avenue and Martin Luther King Boulevard.

She was with 48-year-old Vernon Barnes, who is a close relative. The pair were on their way to the little girl's home when they disappeared.

The family says they have not heard from Barnes, which is very unusual and they are very concerned for the safety of the child and that Vernon may not be able to care for her.

Kylee is about 3-feet, 6-inches tall and weighs 40 pounds. She was last seen wearing a blue polo shirt with a neon pink sweatshirt and blue jeans.

Barnes is about 5-feet, 8-inches tall and 185 pounds. He is bald and has a mustached. He was last seen wearing a blue and white checkered shirt with blue jeans.

Police are asking all hospitals in the area to check to their records for anyone who matches the descriptions. The public is also asked to call police if they spot the girl and Barnes.
