One man is dead after a shooting Friday night in North Las Vegas.
Around 11:15 p.m., officers responded to the 2100 block of Carroll Street, near Lake Mead Boulevard and Civic Center Drive, regarding a shooting.
Police found a 34-year-old North Las Vegas man outside the building suffering from a gunshot wound. Medical personnel transported the man to University Medical Center where he died from his injuries.
He was identified as Davion DeShawn McKinzie of Las Vegas. He died of a gunshot wound to the left flank.
There is no suspect in custody at this time, however, North Las Vegas police said this does not appear to be a random act of violence.
