Three people traveling from Las Vegas were killed in a Utah crash Wednesday afternoon, according to ABC 4 in Salt Lake City.

In a news release to ABC 4, Utah Highway Patrol reported that a truck was traveling eastbound in Millard County on Interstate 70 in the No. 2 lane when it veered across the No. 1 lane and into the median. The truck then hit a hillside.

The driver, a 77-year-old man, and his 76-year-old wife, both from Las Vegas, were both taken to hospitals where they later died, ABC 4 reported. The driver was wearing a seatbelt but the wife was not.

According to ABC 4, a female relative of the couple, 70, was riding in the backseat and pronounced dead at the scene. She was also not wearing a seatbelt.

ABC 4 reported the three were traveling to Las Vegas to Colorado for a family reunion.

Utah Highway Patrol troopers said that they don't believe impairment or speed were factors in the crash.
