LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A Korean Air flight headed to Las Vegas was diverted to Los Angeles International Airport on Wednesday, according to a Los Angeles news station.
A spokesperson for the airlines says three passengers on the plane had been in China within 14 days of their departure from Seoul. They were taken off of the plane because they may have been exposed to the novel coronavirus.
Despite initial reports that the flight would be headed to Las Vegas without the three passengers, 13 Action News is now being told by Korean Air that the passengers were cleared to continue to Las Vegas.
13 Action News spoke with passengers who were aboard that flight after it landed.
“Everyone was trying to make some precautions, wash hands every time you go to the bathroom,” said one passenger.
The plane is a Boeing 777 and there were more than 200 passengers on the plane.
The flight landed at McCarran International Airport shortly after 5 p.m. on Wednesday.
