Two people were seriously injured in a crash Friday night near Vegas Drive and Cimarron Road.

Police said an SUV and motorcycle collided around 7:15 p.m. A motorcycle was traveling east on Vegas Drive when a Ford Escape exiting a gas station driveway turned in front of the motorcycle, which then struck the left front of the Ford.

The motorcyle operator and passenger were ejected from the motorcycle and then transported to UMC Trauma. The operator, 26-year-old Mario Kehrt, received serious injuries while his passenger, 19-year-old Kelsy Arlitz, had critical, life-threatening injuries.

The 64-year-old driver of the Ford and his 15-year-old passenger were not injuried and remained at the scene.
