13 Things To Do This Week In Las Vegas For July 6-12

Here are 13 things to do around the Las Vegas valley for the week of July 6-12:

1. "The American Trilogy" features the music of Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley and Neil Diamond. The show at South Point this weekend features their biggest hits and ends with a patriotic finale.

2. The theme for this month's First Friday in Downtown Las Vegas is "Embrace Positivity, Creativity and Diversity." The featured artist is Kitos Lucero, who is known for tribute murals and memorials for children suffering with cancer.

3. The Grass Roots perform July 6 at the Golden Nugget. Major hits include "Lets Live For Today," "Midnight Confessions," "Temptation Eyes" and "Two Divided by Love."

4. Chateau Nightclub at Paris Las Vegas will go into "beast mode" with a rooftop party hosted by NFL star Marshawn Lynch on July 6. The party will benefit Fam1st Family Foundation, created by Lynch and Joshua Johnson.

5. The UFC Fan Experience is happening July 6 and 7 at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center. Don't miss your chance to get up close and personal with your favorite athletes and ofther UFC professionals. It's part of International UFC Fight Week.

6. A free summer concert series is happening at The District at Green Valley Ranch. The concerts take place in the shopping center every Friday and Saturday night. This week's performers are Richard Mann (Americana/folk) on July 6 and Justin Centeno (reggae/pop) and July 7.

7. A sensory-friendly showing of "Ant-Man and the Wasp" will be offered at 10:30 a.m. July 7 at Regal Texas Station Stadium 18. Movie guests of all ages are invited to watch the movie and sing, dance and even shout during the show. The movie will be shown at a lower volume and the house lights will stay on.

8. The band Save Ferris is performing Saturdays at Harrah's Las Vegas Carnaval Court. Save Ferris is a ska punk band that formed in 1995 in Orange County, California. Their name is in reference to the 1986 film "Ferris Bueller's Day Off."

9. Angelo Moore of Fishbone is bringing his new project, Dr. Maddvibe & The Missin' Links, to Backstage Bar & Billiards on July 7. They are performing as part of Big Daddy's Ska Hayride with Viernes 13 and others. 

10. Iconic rapper and songwriter Meek Mill will make a highly-anticipated return to the rooftop stage at Drai's Nightclub on July 7. After his return, he will take the stage several times through the end of the year. Miller is known for his culturally provacative works and founder of Dream Chasers Records.

11.Great White and Slaughter are performing July 7 at The Cannery. Great White became popular in the 1980s and 1990s. Their biggest hit was "Once Bitten, Twice Shy." Slaughter, which formed in Las Vegas, reached stardom in 1990 with their first album "Stick It to Ya."

12. "Maladjusted: A Tribute to Morrissey and The Smiths" is happening July 6 at The Bunkhouse Saloon. The evening will begin with Michael Valentine and Friends. The night will be dedicated to Chapter 11 bass player Steven Bernsten, who died in November 2016.

13. Place on 7th hosts Drag Queen Bingo the second Tuesday of every month. Hosted by Carnie Asada. RSVP online for one complimentary drink. Must be 21 to attend.
