LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — One person is dead after trying to cross the street at Jones Boulevard and Palmyra Avenue, near Desert Inn Road.
The crash happened at 11:16 p.m. on May 2.
Police say the person was not in a crosswalk and paused in the street just before a Ford Mustang hit them.

That person was rushed to UMC and pronounced dead at the hospital. The driver of the Mustang remained at the scene and successfully passed Field Sobriety Tests.
This death is the 40th traffic related death in Las Vegas for 2019. This crash remains under investigation.
