A mother in Michigan was arrested after taking her 15-year-old daughter's cell phone away from her as punishment after the girl got in trouble at school.
Jodie May's ex-husband called the police and she was arrested for stealing after he told police that he owned the phone.
The phone was gift to the former couple's daughter.
Prosecutors decided to drop the charges but May is wondering why she was arrested in the first place for disciplining her child.
