A Florida teacher says that she was fired because she refused to follow the "no zero" policy and gave zeroes to students who didn't turn in homework.
Diane Tirado was a teacher for several years in St. Lucie County. The incident happened after she assigned a two-week project to her student. After several students didn't turn it in, she gave them zeros.
The school requires that students receive a minimum of 50 percent on all assignments.
After she refused to follow the policy, she was fired. She wrote a message on a whiteboard, wishing her students well.
