Esteban Ramirez joined the KTNV producing team in September 2020, coming from our fellow Scripps station 23ABC in Bakersfield. There, he produced the 5 and 7 p.m. newscasts.
He was drawn to producing in Las Vegas because of the wide range of storytelling opportunities not only in Las Vegas but all around Clark County. He now produces the 6 p.m. newscast for KTNV and has started the Vegas Sports segment in that newscast.
Esteban grew up in Bakersfield and went to California State University, Bakersfield. He graduated in 2017 and continued working at the NBC station in the city.
In 2018, he accepted a full-time producer position with 23ABC. While there, he started the station’s agriculture segment, “The Ag Report,” for the morning shows. Esteban would be moved to the evening newscasts and won two regional Emmys in 2020 for a news special on cold cases titled “Kern County Unsolved” and for best evening newscast covering a shooting at a mall in Bakersfield.
In August 2020, Esteban accepted an offer to take the producing job here at KTNV. He has helped with the coverage on the Raiders opening game inside Allegiant, 1 October shooting three-year anniversary coverage, election coverage and more.
Esteban looks forward to continuing to expand the sports coverage at KTNV and also looking into cold cases in Clark County.
